I knew Steve when he dated my sister in high school. I was a few years younger, just learning to drive and Steve took me out in his new VW Beetle to teach me to drive a stick shift. I kept feeling like I was destroying his transmission trying to learn, but he just laughed and said "That's all right , try it again". I finally got the hang of it, and I never forgot his easy going patience. Steve was an incredibly nice and decent person.

My name is Heidi McWilliams and I am so so sad to hear that Steven has passed over. Looking back when Steven was still fully dealing with TN Walking Horses, my late husband and I bought a 2 year old black Stallion for me to ride. His name was GENERATORS BLACK ACE. He was a handful and we made many victory passes on him. We were very FOND of Steven and offer my prayers to the Family and loved ones. I was wondering how he was doing but couldn't find out. He was a good Man and always so friendly and smiling. We thought so much of Steven. If I can help the family in any way please let me know. I wished I could tell Steven that I am still in the show business and working full time. GOD bless all of family and his friends .
