Robert "Bob" Arlon Knight, 78 of Doyle, Tennessee passed away on Sunday, September 1, 2019, at his home.

Bob was born Saturday, May 10, 1941, in Quenemo, Kansas. He was the son of the late Milan Knight and the late Letha (Rose) Knight.

Bob was a loving son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Bob’s creativity was immense to include numerous woodworking projects, writing poetry and songs. He could finish a crossword puzzle in record time, complete a 1000 piece jigsaw in less than a couple days time and challenged himself with Sudoku puzzles daily. Bob was also an animal lover; no stray dog or cat, wild deer, bird or squirrel ever came around that didn’t get fed like royalty.

Bob is survived by his wife of 49 years, Linda Knight; 2 children, Kelly Knight and Bart Knight; 3 grandchildren, Kade Knight, Roane Knight, and Milan Knight. He was also survived by a brother, Ronnie (Connie) Knight; 4 Sisters, Joyce (late Willis) Long, Kaye (Bob) Counts, Cheryl (Michael) Weiss, and Debra (Larry) Harris; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by a brother, Harvey (Shirley) Knight; and sister, Anna Rose (late Roy) Baber.

Bob chose cremation, the family followed his wishes, and a Celebration of his Life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society at:

Kelly, my family and I are sending our heartfelt condolences to you and your family on the loss of your dad. This is a hard one, as the loss of a parent truly is. I feel your pain as I lost my mom at the age of 14 and most recently, the loss of my own dad. We pray for your strength and comfort during this most difficult time. We’re all here if you need anything. R.R. Beamon & Family

I did not know Bob on a personal level. Linda and I met up on Facebook. She is the sweetest lady and so thoughtful. She shared many pictures of her family with me and we just became the best of friends. Please accept my deepest condolences, so sorry for your precious lost.
