I met Pat when he worked at Verizon Wireless he would always greet one with a smile and how are you! He would take care of my problem and thank me! I drove the tow truck for Cumberland Auto Center and I would go to lunch on Fridays with my boss and other employees and Pat would be there! He always had a smile on his face and never had a bad thing to say about anyone! When he started his lawn mowing business I didn't see as much of Pat but would see him and as always ask how I was and what I was doing? I have read a lot of the things people have said about him and I feel just as they do! Pat is up there with God smiling down on us now! Yes he will be missed but one day we will see him again! My thoughts and prayers go out to the family! God Bless You all!

I had the pleasure of meeting and getting to know Pat through his loving wife Jennifer and two of the sweetest kids (Emily and Julie) I’ve ever known.
It was in summer girls softball and I soon learned what a special person he was. Always smiling, showing a positive attitude in any situation.
He was truly a “Man of God” through his actions and I ,for one, will miss the “light of God” he shown on all he met.
I pray for all his family, friends, and those who were blessed by meeting this wonderful man. He will be truly missed.

Pat, I never thought running into you Saturday morning at Sams club would be the last time I ever saw you! I enjoyed the laughs we had about "getting our shopping done early now that we are older" you were a gentle giant in more ways than one and I will cherish our friendship forever. You were a positive impact on so many lives and your legacy will live on long after were all gone. Heaven gained a true angel. God Speed my friend

For Our Friend Pat “Moose” Moran

Sunday was a terribly sad day for the Tennessee Backroads Band and all of the Cookeville community. We lost our dear friend, “sound man” and Brother Pat Moran whom we affectionately referred to as “Moose”. If you knew Pat Moran -- you were his friend.
He was the kindest, most gentle, most decent good-to-the-core person that we have ever known. In all the years that we knew Pat and travelled with him we never saw a “bad side”. Never heard him utter a negative word about anyone. He was an encourager and the least judgmental person ever. If Pat Moran was your friend then you had a friend for life - through good times or bad. He was truly the man and the example of Christ that we all wish we could be.
Pat loved his wife and two daughters more than anything. Just this Saturday he was talking about Emily’s wedding and how much he was looking forward to it. We of course told him we couldn’t wait to see his new dance moves -- he did such an outstanding job at Julie’s wedding! Pat loved his son-in-law Scott and soon-to-be son-in-law Daniel. He often talked about what fine young men they were, their strong work ethic and how glad he was that they would be a part of his family. Pat’s legacy will live on through these young people and we hope through all of us and each of you.
Pat was like a brother and a best friend to all of us and I know to many of you as well. As Mark so aptly put it “there ain’t enough pages to write all the good there is about Moose”. His grammar, not mine.
Most of us last saw Pat in the early morning hours Sunday at the hospital. All appeared to be fine with our friend. As we usually all do, we hugged him, told him we loved him and we’d see him later that day. Well, we won’t see him today - but we will see him again.
Moose, we love you and we will truly miss you. You will never be forgotten. Enjoy your reward. You deserve it!

Your Brothers,

Tennessee Backroads Band

I worked with Pat at Averitt Express in Nashville, TN but I knew him from being from Cookeville as I am from Baxter originally. Pat was a Great friend and will be missed by many. My Thoughts and Prayers will be with you and your family during this hard time.
