Obituary

Kimberley Marie (Flatt)Murphy, 56 of Cookeville, Tennessee was granted her angel wings on Tuesday, September 15, 2020, In her final hours, Kim was surrounded by her family.

She was born Saturday, June 13, 1964, in Gainesboro, Tennessee. She was the daughter of the late Logan Flatt and the late Barbara (McCloud) Flatt.

Kim was a loving wife, sister, and friend to all who knew her. She touched so many lives and made a huge difference for so many people. Her greatest joy in life was her (BOY) great-nephew, Bryson Schaefer. Kim retired from the Board of Education where she had a huge heart for all children, especially her special needs children. She was an active member of West View Baptist Church where she worked tirelessly in the clothing closet and food pantry to serve our community. Her greatest joy in life was her family.

Kim is survived by her husband of 22 years Tim Murphy of Cookeville, TN

2 stepdaughters:
Laurie Lowe of Athens, TN
Sarah Harmon of Washington, DC

1 stepson:
David Murphy of Georgia

9 Grandchildren

2 sisters and 1 brother-in-law:
Diane Parrett of Sparta, TN
Karen and Ed Smith of Baxter, TN

3 brothers and 1 sister-in-law:
Mark and Jennifer Flatt of Cookeville, TN
Mark Randall Flatt of Cookeville, TN
Randall Flatt of Cookeville, TN

Several aunts and uncles

A host of nieces and nephews

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Fred and Zora Flatt, maternal grandparents, Carlen and Mattie McCloud, 1 brother-in-law, John Parrett.

Memorial services for Kim will be held Saturday, September 19, 2020 beginning at 1:00 pm at West View Baptist Church with Bro. Jimmy Simpson officiating.

The family will receive friends at the church Saturday, September 19, from 10:00, am until time of service at 1:00 pm.
