Elizabeth Ann Avriett, of Cookeville, Tennessee passed from this life Friday, March 20, 2020.

She was born Monday, October 27, 1947 in Springfield, Tennessee. She was the daughter of the late Harold and Eunice (Starnes) Avriett.

She is survived by:

2 Sisters:
Mary Cornetet of Cookeville, TN
Dorothy and husband Jerry Owens of Madison, AL.

Niece:
Carol Chesney

3 Nephews:
David Cornetet
Allen Thornton Jr,
Stephen Owens

4 Grand-nieces, 4 Grand-nephews and 3 Great-grand nieces.

Elizabeth was an educator working diligently with children in Maryland, Georgia and Tennessee, at DeBerry Academy in Baxter. She ended her career at Upperman High School in Baxter, TN. Elizabeth loved to cross-stitch. She was an avid fan of Titans and UT football and UT basketball. She enjoyed traveling with family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by 1 brother-in-law Keith Cornetet.

There will be a graveside service on Monday, March 23, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery.

Richard and I send our thoughts and prayers to Ann's family. She was my high school friend and a bridesmaid in my wedding over 50 years ago. I still remember her in that yellow dress in the picture below. Ann is on the far right. Sorry for your loss. Linda and Richard Thornton (classmates class of 65)
