Obituary

Earl Charles, 80 of Cookeville, Tennessee passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family.

Earl was born Friday, August 11, 1939, in Pike County, Kentucky. He was the son of the late Earl Thomas and the late Eunice Lillian (Coleman) Charles.

Earl was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was a lifelong member of the Cookeville Life Church. Earl was loved by everyone that he met and he will be greatly missed.

Earl is survived by, wife, JoAnn (Johnson) Charles, 3 Daughters, Peggy and Bubba Ward of Ft. Pierce, Florida, Carolyn and Bruce Potter of Ft. Pierce, Florida, and Tracy and Marc Pendel of Cookeville, Tennessee; 10 Grandchildren; 21 Great-Grandchildren; 2 Sisters, Janet Crane of Norfolk, Virginia, and Linda Cook of Cookeville, Tennessee; 2 Brothers, Gary Charles of Hastings ,Michigan and Roger Charles of Charlotte, North Carolina; Brother-in-life, Dave Beam of Cookeville, Tennessee.

Celebration of Life for Earl Charles will be held Saturday, July 11, 2020 at 10:00 am from Life Church at The Edge.

I miss you Earl. When on vacation to Florida you were always available to pick me up and buy me lunch. You are an incredible nephew and was always kind hearted. I love you and can’t wait to see you in Heaven.
